Seasonal features

The best time to visit the falls is during the months of January and February, when the volume of water is higher, the rains are more rapid and the trees are still flowering. In September and October it rains a lot, at any time of year you must have a waterproof jacket to not get wet clothes when hiking in the park do Iguazu.

Route and duration (remind you that the program can be customized)

Day 1
Foz do Iguaçú

Arrival in Foz do Iguacu airport and hotel accommodation in air-conditioned car.

Afternoon departure at 2:00 pm to visit waterfalls on the Brazilian side. Created in 1939 and recognized by UNESCO as a World Natural Heritage Site in 1986, the park contains 272 waterfalls up to 82 meters high, forming a giant 2,700-meter long semi-circle. This scenery offers visitors and unforgettable spectacle.
Next, directly contracting a local agent, you can go on a macuco safári on rubber motorboats getting close to whirlpools formed by waterfalls.

Day 2

Set out 8:00 am to visit waterfalls on Argentinian side, following a trail that crosses the National Park where plants, flowers and several species of trees can be observed, ending up at various observation points of the falls, crossing suspended bridges and reaching the most impressive point, the "garganta do diablo" Devil’s throat. Important: The structure of the footbridge at the "Garganta do Diabo" viewpoint was damaged by flooding in October 2023 and its reopening has not yet been scheduled.
Return to the hotel in the afternoon.

Day 3

Transfer to airport of Foz do Iguaçu for departure flight. Check the front desk 2 hours before flight departure.
The accommodations will be available until noon. If you have a flight after normal check-out time, you can still leave your luggage in the lobby and use the hotel's common areas, such as the bar and swimming pool, until your departure time.

You need a Visa. This Visa is basically a stamp on a page of your passport, letting the Argentine authorities endorse your visit to their country.
Unaccompanied minors must have permission from parents (father or mother), certified by the their consulate, on the border between Brazil and Argentina.
Do not forget the sun block, the hat, the waterproof jacket, the cap and the sunglasses.
Brasil Planet has no constraints with the restaurants envisaged for the route, which are chosen by drivers and guides for logistical reasons and to offer a good quality at reasonable prices. Therefore remains at the discretion of the client whether to accept or to prefer, when available, another restaurant nearby.
Brasil Planet is not responsible for objects forgotten in hotels or inside the vehicles.

General Terms and Conditions of Contract

Alterations

Once the itinerary has been finalized and confirmed, and the travel documents have been sent, any subsequent modifications will incur an additional cost.
We cannot change the schedules of transportation or excursions during the execution of the trip, as our services are booked in advance, and any subsequent alterations will require the booking and payment of a new service.

Cancellations and Refunds
According to Normative Resolution No. 161 of August 9, 1985, by Embratur, in case of cancellation for any reason, the following percentages of the total value of your trip (excluding airfare) will be refunded:

80% if canceled up to 30 days before the start of the trip.
70% if canceled 29 to 21 days before the start of the trip.
50% if canceled 20 to 7 days before the start of the trip.
If less than 7 days before the start of the trip, no refunds will be given.
No refunds will be provided for services you choose to cancel after the trip has started.
For trips booked during the Carnival and New Year periods, no refunds will be given.

Iguazu Falls & Lençois Maranhenses National Park

I came across the Brasil Planet through google search and I am glad I did as the tours perfectly suited my itinerary for my travels through Brazil. A special thanks to Francesco who was very helpful, explained everything in detail as well as answering all my questions. The two tours I booked were - Lençois Maranhenses (3 days and 2 nights) and Foz do Iguaçu (3 days and 2 nights). Everything was efficient and the tours were very well organised from the pick-up times to activities planned throughout the day. More importantly the sights were amazing. It was a great experience. Iguazu Falls are impressing! The day I arrived and was on the Brazilian side of the park it was sunny, on the Argentinian side the next day it was raining, but that made the colours even more vivid. Fransisco, the guide there, was very attentive. The transfers in all places was on time, no complications. I was always met in the airports with the sign with my name.
Correspondence with you by email was very efficient and without any delays. A big plus was meeting you in person in San Luiz.
